ISO 15552-compatible mounting options

Electric Cylinder Mounting Accessories

Mount any iMotion electric cylinder series to your machine using fixed, pivoting or axial mounting arrangements. Options compatible with standard pneumatic-cylinder mounting geometries allow you to retain most of your existing mechanical design and transition to electric motion more easily.

Mounting solutions for your machine’s motion geometry

The right mounting accessory does more than simplify installation. It also helps reduce side loads on the cylinder, accommodate misalignment and protect the service life of the system.

01

Foot Mounting

Used to secure the cylinder to a horizontal or vertical surface. It is suitable for applications where the cylinder body remains stationary and force is transmitted along the linear axis.

Fixed cylinder-body mounting
02

Front and Rear Flange

Connects the cylinder to the machine frame through the end-cap face. It is preferred for compact, rigid installations where axial force transmission is the priority.

Rigid axial mounting
03

Clevis and Pivot Mounting

Allows the cylinder to move through an angle during operation. It helps accommodate mounting tolerances in pin-connected mechanisms.

Pivoting rear mounting
04

Intermediate Trunnion

Allows the cylinder body to pivot with the mechanism. It provides a balanced pivot point for lifting, hatch and lever mechanisms.

Pivoting cylinder-body mounting
05

Rod-End Accessories

Clevis ends, spherical rod eyes, rod ends and mounting nuts securely connect the piston rod to the driven mechanism.

Load-side connection
06

Pins and Bearing Elements

These components form the pivot axis of articulated mountings. Correct selection of pins, bushings and retaining elements helps control play and wear.

Correct selection

How do we select the right mounting?

The mounting accessory should be selected not only by cylinder size, but also by the mechanism’s motion and the way the load is transferred to the cylinder.

01
Identify the product series and cylinder sizeSelect the mounting group that matches your iMotion series and cylinder size.
02
Determine whether the mounting is fixed or pivotingUse foot or flange mountings for fixed systems; use clevis, pivot or intermediate trunnion mountings where angular movement is required.
03
Check the force axisThe load should be transmitted along the piston-rod axis. Side loads and misalignment must be limited through the mounting design.
04
Verify the mounting dimensionsHole centres, pin diameter, mounting orientation and available operating space must be checked against the technical drawing.

Technical note: ISO 15552 compatibility refers to standardized mounting dimensions. The load capacity, pin dimensions and operating conditions of each mounting accessory must also be verified for the specific application.
